Woman devotee drowns in temple well

A 48-year old woman devotee drowned in a temple well here in the wee hours today after she allegedly tripped and fell into it, police said.
Mariammal was staying overnight at the Bathrakali Amman temple, a sub-temple of Lord Ramanathaswamy shrine, for offering worship.
As she was drawing water from the well for bath, she fell into it, police said adding her body was retrieved by Fire and Rescue Service personnel.
