Woman dies after being hit by tree branch

A 52-year-old woman died after being hit by a tree branch during an evening walk with her husband, police said today.
The branch broke off and fell due to the storm on April 25.
Her husband escaped with minor injuries.
The incident was reported around 11.30 PM from Sector 11 in Rohini.
The couple had stepped out of their apartment after dinner. They were taking a walk when the branch of a tree fell on Revati Koshi's head.
Her husband informed the police and a team from Prashant Vihar rushed to the spot. She was found to be unconscious and brought to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Preliminary probe indicates that the heavier part of the branch had hit Revati on her head leading to a haemorrhage and internal injuries that had caused her death.
