Woman dies under mysterious situation, family claims dowry

A 22-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances but her bother alleged that she was killed by her in-laws over dowry in Lakshapur village here, police said today.
Neelam, who tied nuptial knots with Jitendra Pandey a year ago, died yesterday. Later, her brother lodged a complaint with police alleging that she was killed by her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law who were demanding a motorcycle and gold ornaments from her family.
Neelam was eight months pregnant. The body bore injury marks and her in-laws claimed that she had fallen from a height, police said, adding that her mother-in-law and husband have been arrested.
