Her colleagues rescued her using ropes.
"Forest ranger Monika Thakur, along with a team, had gone to Karamsi village to remove encroachments yesterday after getting information that some people are sowing crops on forest land," said superintendent of police Dharmendra Singh Bhadoria.
"According to the complaint, after an altercation, she was pushed into a well by Satish Sharma, Ramnivas Sharma and Ramji Lal Sharma," the officer said.
Luckily, the well didn't have much water, and her colleagues pulled her out using ropes.
