The woman, aged around 30 years, was found abandoned by some passers-by during early hours, near the road-side with injuries on her head, neck and legs, who alerted the police.
She was later shifted to a government hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment, they said.
The victim is suspected to be a call-girl and was found in an inebriated state, a police official said.
The woman in her last statement to the police told she belonged to Mahabubnagar district and identified herself with three names.
Asked if she was sexually assaulted, the official said, "We are investigating. It will be confirmed through the post-mortem report only," he said.
Rajendranagar Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
