The woman, in her complaint, said that she had gone to Dhupguri market to purchase clothes on Tuesday last where a person known to her offered her a betel leaf (pan) after which she lost consciousness.
She was then taken to Phuentsholing and allegedly gangraped by three persons. Yesterday while the three persons were taking her to Siliguri to sell her, she shouted for help at Moynaguri and local people came to her rescue after which the three persons fled the spot, the police said.
A complaint has been lodged at Dhupguri police station against three persons yesterday in this regard after which police arrested one person while the other two were absconding.
