Woman gangraped in Kolkata

A woman was dragged out of a cab and allegedly gangraped by five men in Babughat area of the city, police said today.
The incident happened at around 9 PM last night when the woman, in her mid-20s, was dragged out of the cab, she hired from Babughat, by unidentified youths in a lorry, who took turns raping her, they said.
The men then dumped her near Howrah. Locals spotted the woman and got her admitted to a local hospital.
There were five youths involved in the crime which happened under the jurisdiction of Watgunge Police Station in the city, police sources said.
"We have started an investigation into the matter," DC (Port) V Solomon said.
