A 51-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly running a sex racket at her residence in suburban Kandivali through social media, police said on Sunday.
Three women have been rescued from the flat.
The woman used to send photographs of women to customers through a social messaging application and call them at her residence in sector 2 of Charkop, an official said.
On receiving a specific input, crime branch Unit 11 officials sent a decoy customer at the flat on Saturday and conducted a raid, he said.
Police have recovered Rs 28,000 and 12 mobile phones from the accused, he said, adding that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
