Manisha and her five-month-old daughter were yesterday strangulated by her husband Vimlesh and in-laws for dowry, police said.
The victim's father has alleged that Vimlesh and his family have been demanding Rs 50,000 and a gold chain as dowry since the two got married three years back, they said.
On his complaint, an FIR has been lodged against Vimlesh and five others, who were absconding.
Bodies have been sent for post mortem, they said.
