The incident too place earlier this week but the accused, Shankar alias Yogesh Dhanu Wargada, 25 was arrested in the wee hours today in connection with the murder, said officials at Tokawade police station under Murbad division.
According to police, the accused had picked up a quarrel with the son of the deceased Girijabai Kusha Warghada, on January 16 accusing him of having an illcit relationship with his (Yogesh's) wife.
The accused was charged under sections 302, 504 and 506 of the IPC and arrested.
