Woman, paramour arrested for huband's killing

Police today claimed to have solved the murder of a Delhi-based businessman here with the arrest of his wife and her paramour.
Sihani Gate police today arrested Shalini and her paramour Vipul for allegedly hatching conspiracy to kill the businessman Mannu Singh. Singh was shot dead on last Wednesday around 10:30 pm near Raj Nagar Extension here.
An FIR was lodged against against Shalini and Vipul after a complaint was registered against them by the deceased's brother Alok Kumar.
During prolonged questioning the deceased businessman's wife and her paramour broke down and confessed that they hired contract killers to kill Singh, Superintendent of Police (city) Ajay Pal Sharma said.

Vipul confessed that Mannu was suspicious about their illicit relations. Several times they had quarrelled on this issue, the SP said.
Narrating the murder sequence, the SP said, on Wednesday the duo planned a tour to Haridwar with Mannu. Vipul stopped the car near Raj Nagar extension area here on the pretext of attending nature's call. As planned, the two contract killers Jitendra alias Bablu and Ghazni, who were trailing them on a motorcycle reached the spot and shot Mannu twice.
Sharma further added that both the killers are still at large and will be nabbed soon.
Accused Shalini and Vipul have been sent to jail under section 120 B of IPC for hatching criminal conspiracy, the SP added.
