A complaint has been lodged by the woman, Boiphul Bibi, that she was thrown out of the moving Malda-Balughat Gour express link train, Krishna Gopal Dutta, in-charge of government railway police (GRP) Malda town station said.
Irate passengers subsequently ransacked offices of the Eklakhi railway station to protest against the incident, he said.
While no complaint has been launched so far from the railways side, Dutta said it is being investigated whether the woman was thrown out by the ticket examiner for not having a valid ticket or fell down from the train accidentally.
