Woman police constable's daughter commits suicide in UP

Apparently stressed over family's economic condition, a 17-year-old daughter of a woman police constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house in Kotwali area here.
The incident happened yesterday when the girl's mother, Sarita, returned home from duty late last night and found the daughter hanging from a ceiling fan at her government quarter at Police Line area, a police spokesperson said today.
A note was found near the girl's body in which she mentioned the debt on her mother as the reason for suicide, Hari Ram Verma, Inspector, Kotwali police station said.
The girl's body was later sent for postmortem, he said.

Sarita had got the job in the police department under the quota after her husband, Mukesh's death.
The police is further investigating the case to ascertain the circumstances which led her to take the extreme step, he said.
