The incident happened last night at around 10 PM when Howrah-resident Sudipta Banerjee (30) was travelling in an autorickshaw from Park Circus to Girish Park's Dwarkanth Tagore Lane, police said.
"The woman hired the autorickshaw for Girish Park at around 9.30PM yesterday. She alleged that at one point the driver of the autorickshaw requested her to allow three more passengers who will get down within a short distance. And when the woman got down at her destination she found that her valuables were missing," a senior officer said.
"We are looking into the CCTV footages on the roads and trying to establish what had actually happened and probing the matter," the officer said.
