Shivkumar, victim's father, complained that his daughter Preeti was last night set afire by her husband Prem (25), sister-in-law Komal and mother-in-law Shyamo for their dowry demand, Additional SP (rural) Jagdish Sharma said.
The victim got married to Prem about six months ago but her husband and in-laws were not happy with the dowry and used to harass her, Sharma said.
The victim, who received 95 per cent burn injuries, was admitted to the burn ward of the district hospital, he said.
On the basis of the complaint an FIR was registered against the accused, the ASP said, adding that an investigation is on in the matter.
