Unidentified miscreants shot three bullets one of which pierced the glass panes of the window and landed at the court of the chief judicial magistrate, police said.
However, none was injured as the court was not in session.
The other bullet misfired.
Papiya Sarkar, who is the wife of district court advocate Chanchal Sarkar, received a bullet injury on her leg in the attack which took place next to the public prosecutor's office.
She had gone to the court to depose in a case in connection with the armed attack on her husband at their home in 2009.
The miscreants made good their escape after the incident, the police said adding investigation into it was on.
