Woman shot dead by brother

A 20-year-old woman today was shot dead by her brother when she intervened in an argument between her mother and the sibling at Tawli village here, the police said.
Yasmin Qureshi and her son Tehsin, wanted in a case, had an argument as she had asked him to surrender and he refused. During the altercation, Tehsin pointed a pistol at her but his sister Abida came in the line of fire to protect their mother and got shot, SHO of Shahpur police station, V P Singh said.
She died on the spot, he said.
A case has been registered against Tehsin, who is absconding, the SHO said.
