S M Ratna, working in Telangana State Police Academy, suffered injuries on her face after one person attacked her before fleeing with her gold jewellery and other valuables while she was travelling in Simhapuri Express, Nellore Superintendent of Police (SP) Gajarao Bhupal told PTI.
The incident occurred between Nellore and Gudur, in the bogie she was travelling in, he said, adding she was admitted to a hospital in Nellore.
