Woman stabbed by paramour over money

A man today inflicted multiple stab injuries on his paramour at her room on the city outskirts, police said.
The 27-year old woman, working as a trainee lecturer in a private college, had called her former lover Satishkumar to the city, two days ago. The woman's husband is employed in Singapore.
The lover had reached yesterday from Cuddalore and stayed overnight with the woman at her room in Madukkarai, police said.
There was quarrel between the two over money for going on a trip to Udhagamandalam this morning during which the man attacked the woman with a knife several times, they said.

The woman's friend staying in the next room alerted neighbours and police, who arrested the man.
The woman, who was admitted to a private hospital, is recovering, they said.
