A young woman software professional has gone missing from the city, police said today.
Bhavya Sri, in her mid-20s, went missing since yesterday morning from KPHB area after boarding a cab on her way to office, police said, based on a complaint lodged by her husband Kartik Chaitanya.
According to Kartik, Bhavya sent him a text message saying she had boarded a cab to office. "In reply I asked her if she had taken the office cab or a private cab, but she did not reply to the same," Kartik, also a techie, told reporters
"We used to speak daily during lunch time over phone. But due to busy work schedule yesterday I did not speak in the afternoon. I continuously tried her number from evening till night but there was no response.
"I went to house but I did not find her there and later went to her office, where I was she had not reported to duty," Kartik said.
Kartik and Bhavya got married two years ago.
"Investigations are going on. Three teams are working on the case. We are trying to gather clues. The cellphone call data analysis is underway. We are also taking details of the cabs operating in IT areas and also the airport," T Sai Kumar, ACP (Kukatpally Division), said.
Police have filed a missing person complaint and have formed three teams to search her.
