Simmerjit Kaur (25), wife of Jasbir Singh, allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Rajasthan feeder canal with her two sons aged 4 and one-and-half-years, they said.
Passersby immediately informed police, who along with divers rushed to the Rajasthan feeder and managed to save both the children, they said.
The rescued children were hospitalised and stated to be out of danger, they said, adding that the woman is feared to have drowned.
