Women Tihar inmate commits suicide

A 30-year-old woman inmate of Tihar, facing kidnapping charges, allegedly committed suicide in jail today, the second such incident this week after the mysterious death of Delhi gangrape accused Ram Singh.
Reshma was found hanging in her cell in jail number 6 this afternoon and was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital, where she was declared brought dead, jail officials said.
This is the second suicide in the high security prison this week, the first being that of prime accused in Delhi gangrape case Ram Singh on Monday.
Reshma was arrested in 2011 in a kidnapping case and since then she was in jail.

This is the fourth suicide in Tihar in last 15 month.
The jail had reported a total of 18 deaths including two suicides in 2012.
