Conservation and Management of Rivers in Kerala will be held here on November 18.
Centre for Water Resources Development and Management, in association with Pampa River Basin Authority, is organising the workshop, which will be inaugurated by Water Resources minister P J Joseph, a press release said.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will deliver the Valedictory Address.
The workshop is expected to discuss the threats to rivers of Kerala, efforts required for their conservation and protection, legal and institutional arrangements for their effective management, among others.
The programme is organised as a part of the 'Save Pampa Save Vembanad Campaign', sponsored by the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment.
