Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath Tuesday said his government would consider all aspects before deciding on providing 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker sections (EWS).

Gujarat on Monday became the first state in the country to implement 10 per cent reservation in jobs and education to the EWS in the general category.

Talking to reporters here, Nath said the Madhya Pradesh government would take into consideration interests of all sections of the society before taking any decision to this effect.

"We are thinking how to do it...will consider the interests of all sections of the society. We must see that nobody's interests are harmed...A delegation of OBC met me recently and said that reservation to them has been low considering their population," Nath said in response to a query on Gujarat implementing the EWS quota scheme.

When asked about the alleged scam in allotment of e-tendering contracts under the BJP's watch, which was one of the poll planks of the Congress in the assembly elections, he said, "We are waiting for the report of the central agency in this regard. The state government has been waiting for this report since the past seven months. If it is delayed further, we have to suspect the Centre."
