The Mi Robot Vacuum cleaner is a highly intelligent robot with a Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) which is able to scan its surroundings 360 degrees 1800 times per second, Xiaomi said in a statement here.
By employing a Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm, Mi Robot Vacuum is able to map out how the home is laid out and calculate the best cleaning path.
Equipped with 12 sensors and a host of advanced features it cleans homes in an extremely smart and efficient way, it said.
It will be sold in China for RMB 1699 (Rs 17000) from September 6.
