Yadavar Sabha members arrested

A member of Tamilnadu Yadavar Sabha caused a flutter when he doused himself in kerosene in a bid to commit self-immolation during a picketing protest by the forum pressing its charter of demands, including reservation for the community, here today.
22-year old Jayaraman took to the act when police said there was no permission for the picketing the programme near the Collector's Office, police said.
Police said they arrested 70 members of the sabha when they attempted to the picket the Collector's office demanding nine per cent reservation among others.
