The cadets attending the programme that began yesterday will participate in a 'yoga marathon' to be held on June 21, the International Day of Yoga.
The 75 NCC associate officers, who have been specially trained, are teaching the cadets different yoga poses, recommended by the Union ministry of Ayush, said Bhupal Kumar, Commandant, First Odisha Compost Technical Company.
"It will be a 33-minute basic yoga programme, comprising four standing, two sitting and six exercises by lying down, besides Pranayam (breathing techniques)," he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had floated the idea at the NCC camp on the Republic Day in New Delhi, the officer added.
