Additional Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, Debashis Dhar said the youth, who is a paying guest at a houst at AH Block, met the girl near Karunamoyee, where she came from her home at Ruby area.
The youth, who was known to the girl, persuaded her to accompany him to his place and allegedly molested her.
The girl later lodged an FIR with the Bidhannagar (East) police station alleging that she was kidnapped and molested by the youth at his flat.
The youth would be produced before a court tomorrow, Dhar added.
