A 24-year-old youth booked for allegedly kidnapping his teenage love interest was found hanging in a field in Shirla village in the district, police said today.
The deceased Sunil Gaikwad was reportedly going around with a teenage girl whom he wanted to marry, police said.
Police had booked him under sections 363 and 366 of IPC for kidnapping the girl after she went missing.
The girl returned home yesterday as her parents were opposed to her union with the youth.
Police suspect that Sunil hanged himself out of frustration whereas his family members complained of a foul play behind his death.
