Members of the Congress's youth wing took out a mega protest march in Agartala on Friday against the CAA and the proposed nationwide NRC.
Congress leader Krishna Allavaru, who led the march, said the government should concentrate on issues like unemployment and price rise rather than enacting laws like the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
"The BJP before coming to power made a poll pledge that 50,000 jobs would be created, but did not keep its words. So, we think people should be vocal about this," he said.
"We do not want the NPR, the NRC, and the CAA," Allaveru added.
