P Neelababu, the youth, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Neelababu, native of Tudi village of Srikakulam district, collapsed after coming first in the running test conducted at the Port Stadium during the recruitment drive.
Inspector of One-Town police station V Srinivasa Rao said the body had been sent to KG Hospital for autopsy.
The recruitment drive started on July 3 and will continue till July 13.
