Youth dies trying to jump off train

A 20-year-old man was ran over by an express train when he attempted to get down from it at a no-stop station near here today, police said.
Vinodh, hailing from neighbouring Kombakkam village, was returning here by the Mangalore-Puducherry Express train when the incident took place.
Although Villianoor station was not a stop for the train, he presumed that the train would halt and jumped out of the compartment.
He came under the wheels and was crushed to death on the spot, they said.
