The channel will disseminate information of the Home Ministry through videos, an official said.
The Home Ministry's YouTube channel is expected to strengthen the online presence of the Ministry and engage audiences, wherever they are, with features such as live streaming, annotations and playlists.
Broadcasting of video coverage of functions of the Ministers and Home Ministry will be stored in the channel, the official said.
The ministry is already using Twitter through its handle @HMOIndia and Facebook as www.Facebook.Com/HMOfficeIndia, for publicising activities of the Home Ministry.
The YouTube channel will be launched with the broadcast of this video. This will be followed by other productions of the Ministry - 'Salaam Zindagi', 'Samadhaan' and 'Zindagi Tujhe Salaam (Aa Ab Laut Chalen)'.
