Zinc futures declined 0.36 per cent to Rs 150.25 per kg today as participants trimmed positions on weak cues from the global markets amid subdued demand in domestic spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in June traded lower by 55 paise, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 150.25 per kg, with a business turnover of five lots.
The metal for delivery in current month (May) fell by 50 paise, or 0.33 per cent, to trade at Rs 149.70 per kg in a turnover of 149 lots.
Marketmen said the fall in zinc prices at futures trade was mostly in line with a weak trend in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange on signs of slowing growth in China, the world's biggest consumer of metals.
