ZP leader's house burgled

Gold ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lakh were stolen from residence of Zilla Parishad vice-president Balasaheb Mangulkar located in Darda Nagar in wee hours today, police said.
Police said burglars cut window grills of Mangulkar's house at around 3-4 AM to gain entry inside.
According to complaint, gold ornaments worth over Rs 2.5 lakh were stolen from the box kept in cupboard.
"We have taken a few suspected history-sheeters into custody and interrogation is in progress, said PSO Balkrishna Jadhav.
When contacted, Mangulkar said, "I saw one of the burglars and tried to catch him but he skipped from my hold".
