The company had posted a net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit/loss of associates of Rs 44.42 crore for the same period year ago, Zydus Wellness said in a filing to the BSE.
"Net sales for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2014 included Rs 13.27 crore, recognised under the head excise duty, which refers to the additional excise duty credit received by Zydus Wellness, Sikkim for the year 2013-14....," Zydus Wellness said.
"Hence the figures of the previous reporting period are not comparable with those of the current reporting periods," Zydus Wellness added.
Consolidated total income from operations of the company stood at Rs 110.24 crore for the quarter under consideration. It was Rs 129.26 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
The company manufactures products like Sugar Free, Nutralite and EverYuth.
Shares of Zydus Wellness today closed 1.83 per cent down at Rs 731.60 per scrip on the BSE.
