Thousands of displaced Kashmiri Pandits are expected to congregate in the Valley on June 20 for worship at the Mata Kheer Bhawani temple in Srinagar, officials said.
The journey will take place as part of the Zysetha Asthami Yatra, coordinator for the yatra, Satish Mahaldar, said in a statement today.
The yatra will start from Delhi on June 18, he said.
"After 28 years of separation from Kashmir, Kashmiri Pandits will finally take a step to return to the Valley. The pious temple of Goddess Mata Kheer Bhawani located in Kashmir, and will witness a congregation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits on June 20," he said.
