Sensex falls for a second day; HDFC, ITC decline

MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex fell on Friday, marking a second straight day of losses, led by declines in HDFC after Goldman Sachs downgraded the stock to "sell" from "neutral", while ITC fell on fears of a hike in excise duty in the upcoming federal budget.

Housing Development Finance Corporation fell 1.86 percent, while ITC Ltd ended 1.55 percent lower.

The BSE Sensex fell 0.04 percent, while the 50-share Nifty ended down 0.03 percent.
