Wasim Akram was included in Pakistan's 15-member squad for the Sharjah one-day tournament, but his final inclusion will depend on his fitness levels.
We have given him 48 hours to justify his full fitness, Pakistan Board secretary Wasim Bari said.
The 33-year-old Akram missed the second and third Tests against Lanka due to groin injury and was not in the preliminary squad of 18.
