Alcatel and Motorola have bagged a Rs 345 crore order from Bharti Telenet, the Madhya Pradesh basic telecom licensee. This is the first basic telecom equipment supply deal in the country. The French telecom major will supply the telephone exchanges and Motorola the code division multiple access (CDMA)-based wireless in local loop (WLL) equipment.
Bharti Telenet is a joint venture between the Delhi-based Bharti group and Telecom Italia (formerly STET International). The Mittals-promoted Bharti Televentures
