Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) saleable steel output for the first quarter of the fiscal has registered a 6.4% jump at 3.13 lakh tonne. Direct despatches of the product durign the same period increased by 12.3 per cent to 2.08 lakh tonne as compared with the previous corresponding quarter. Production of crude steel registered a 4.6 per cent increase at 3.4 lakh tonne while hoot metal output increased by 6.6 per cent to 4.08 lakh tonne, a company release said. he ocuntry for the time being as in the managements view the bland taste of its products will not find acceptance in the country.
