J K Industries Ltd (JKL), the manufacturers of J K Tyre, has recorded 32.6 per cent growth in its net profit to Rs 6.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 1999, from Rs 5.18 crore for the corresponding period last year. The turnover has however fallen to Rs 312.51 crore from Rs 319.47 crore. Net profit of the company for the six months ended on September 30, 1999 has recorded 65 per cent growth to Rs 16.42 crore from Rs 9.94 crore for the corresponding period last year. The turnover for the first half of financial year 1999-2000 has increased to Rs 663.78 crore from Rs 641.60 crore, according to the release.
