China Eyes Export Quota Change

China will reform its export quota system to boost exports of high quality goods, Xinhua news agency said yesterday, quoting officials. China would grant additional quotas for exporters of brand name goods and to firms exploring new markets in East Europe and Africa, the agency said. The reforms would make Chinese exporters compete for quotas through open bidding.
