The BJP ministry in Delhi was expanded yesterday with the induction of a woman, the first in the cabinet. Poornima Sethi, MLA from Kalkaji in South Delhi, was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna at a swearing-in ceremony at the Raj Niwas here. Her portfolio would be announced later. Prominent among those present at the ceremony were the Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues and several MPs. Sethi is likely to be given the food and civil supplies portfolio, which has been lying vacant since Lal Bihari Tiwari quit the cabinet last year.
