The Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) will release additional quantities of quota of grey synthetic spun/bleached fabrics covered under category 3 for exports to European Union (EU) under First-Come-First-Served (FCFS) ready goods system from Monday May 4. The quantity available for allotment is 2096.700 tonne, said a release issued by the council. The release has also mentioned that the council opened the second quarter quota for export of category 3, 3(A) and 23 items to EU on April 6 under the first come first served Ready Goods System. The entire quantity of 1,988 tonne in category 3 was exhausted on the opening day itself. However, in categories 3 (A) and 23 items, 450 tonne and 1,370 tonne of quota, respectively, is still available as on April 20, 1998.
