Fernandes Weighs Regional Security Environment

The first meeting of the defence ministers committee yesterday assessed regional security and global trends and the need for timely preparation for the battlefield. The meeting, chaired by defence minister George Fernandes, noted that preparations would revolve around development of advanced key capabilities and innovative battlefield doctrines.
