Indira Institute of Business Management (IIBM) has sought permission from the University of Mumbai to allow it to offer doctoral programmes (PhD) in management.
IIBM, based out of Navi Mumbai, provides Masters in Management Studies, two-years full time programme, approved by AICTE and affiliated to University of Mumbai.
The institute also provides online industry oriented management development certification programmes and various certification courses.
"We have initiated talks for making IIBM a PhD Centre of the University of Mumbai and are in the process of setting up new chairs for marketing, banking and e-commerce," said Alexander Cherian, Chief Operating Officer, IIBM.
The institute is also in talks with some European universities to launch combined programmes," added Cherian.
IIBM was found in 2008.
