Orchid Raising $40 M Abroad

Counters opened to mixed sentiments on the Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday. Infotechs closed on the higher side. Cyclicals were dull.

The CSE-40 index closed at 2,192.70, gaining marginally by 16.95 points against the previous close of 2,175.75 points. The

index fluctuated between 2,193.63 points and 2,173.36 points in

intra-day trading.

Satyam Computers opened at

Rs 2,055, touched a high of

Rs 2,188.90 and a low of Rs 2,030 and closed on the higher side at

Rs 2,184. Pentafour Software opened at Rs 1,282, fluctuated between Rs 1,385 and Rs 1,270 and closed at Rs 1,383.70.

Associated Cement Co opened at Rs 260, ranged between Rs 268.70 and Rs 256 but closed lower at Rs 259.80. Tata Steel started off at Rs 140.50, fluctuated between Rs 142 and Rs 140 and closed at Rs 141.20. Tata Tea opened at Rs 525, touched a high of Rs 536.50 and a low of Rs 525 and closed at Rs 535.

ITC Ltd opened at Rs 670, moved between Rs 690.90 and Rs 661.80 and closed at Rs 673.50. HLL opened at Rs 2,300, fluctuated between Rs 2,308 and Rs 2,240 and closed at Rs 2,248.
