Future Retail has appointed Grey India's ex-president and CEO Jishnu Sen as head of marketing

Future Retail has appointed Grey India’s ex-president and CEO Jishnu Sen as head of marketing. Sen will report to Sadashiv Nayak, CEO, Big Bazaar. With 23 years of experience in the advertising industry, Sen was regional client servicing director on the Colgate-Palmolive business with Y&R New York. He held several positions in JWT and Rediffusion-Y&R in India, Singapore, Hong Kong and the US. Sen has also worked on a host of brands such as Colgate, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, ESPN-STAR Sports and the Indian Army.

Digital creative

Global digital marketing agency VML has appointed Venkatagiri Rao as creative head - India. He will be based in Mumbai and report to Tripti Lochan, CEO, VML Southeast and India. Rao has over 16 years of industry experience across agencies. He was most recently with DDB Mudra Group, Mumbai, as executive creative director. Earlier, Rao has also worked with Ogilvy, Ambience Publicis, Alok Nanda & Company and Fisheye Creative Solutions. VML is a global marketing agency that delivers ideas and solutions for brands such as Castrol, Kellogg’s, ICICI Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, INSEAD, Ford, Changi Airport and Mattel. It has over 2,300 employees with principal offices in 26 locations across six continents.

Moving on

One Internet, an end-to-end co-working space provider, has appointed Madhur Advani as its business head. Advani has worked with Avanta Business Centre and Corporatedge Serviced Offices earlier. In his new role he will spearhead managerial functions including sales, business development, operations, customer management systems and strategic alliances.

Media agency partner

Merck Consumer Healthcare has appointed Starcom as its global media agency partner following a competitive pitch. Starcom will take on full media responsibilities for Merck's consumer healthcare brands including Neurobion, Bion3, Nasivin, Seven Seas, DoloNeurobion and Femibion, across markets. Media communications agency Starcom is part of Publicis Media, the global media solutions group.
