Saarc Bank Mooted

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (Ficci) has called for the setting up of a Saarc Development Bank as a regional financial institution to support joint ventures among Saarc countries. The bank would promote the limited current account convertibility among South Asian countries for liberalising cross-border capital flow as has been the practice between India and Nepal, says Ficci in a statement issued yesterday.
